Description

This wine by the Elio Filippino winery in Piedmont is one of the most premium and important Italian red wines. La Morra is a modern Barolo because it ages in oak barrels and partly in barriques. The wines reflects a harmonious bouquet with reminiscences of red rose, raspberries, cinnamon and vanilla. It presents a strong structure that allows ageing for a long period of time. Full, fascinating and elegant in taste with an intense good body. This wine is the perfect match for savoury stuffed pasta, stewed and braised meats, game and pungent fully ripe cheese. It is also excellent with delicate fruits like strawberries 2015/16 vintage - 14.5% alcohol
